Ice Cream (or I scream)

Well, I'm in the middle of an adventure...

It's funny how little things cause major trouble. This time the so called little thing took the form of an ice cream covered with chocolate... I had it on Friday evening and the result was seen on the next morning. I had a night full of "Prison Break" themed nightmares. I was digging holes in the wall, shooting guards etc. I woke up with the feeling that I've been hit by a train. the breakfast tasted awful in my mouth, but I forced myself. About an hour later I surrendered and measured my temperature. Ta-da - 39 degrees C. For you, Fahrenheit guys, this is quite a bit of a temperature to have...

First Day, Firs Shift

Well, actually, I was a bit disappointed by myself.
I'm lacking the speed that I need to answer those damn tickets fast... Well, I'm hoping to fix this stuff, otherwise this adventure might turn to be very short for me :)))

Anyway, a few words about the users... Well, as the boss says, they are always right. But, knowing a little bit more English would be great before they try to contact us. The biggest challenge is to understand what that pile of words I'm getting actually means... Well, I'll get used to it, I guess. If I have the chance, of course.

The silly thing is that almost 80% percent of the questions are answered in the FAQ, or you can find a quick solution in Google.

Bye-bye Freedom!

This is a major update...
Freelance years are over. I've sold my ass for a monthly salary...
Well, I don't know if I'm going to make it for very long, but it's worth a try. Anyway, I got fed up being on my own for the last 2.5 years. The change is really welcome. I'm going to work as a customer support at a web hosting company. Really great guys, in fact. I spent the last 2 weeks there as a trainee and the atmosphere is very positive.

The main problem is that I'll have to be working shifts - the support is 24/7... Never really thought about that when talking to my current web-hosting support in the middle of the night... I guess from now on I'll be much more polite when asking them to tweak this or that on national holidays :)

The Su Do Ku helper tool just got better!!! Check the new version!

I just added some new features to the Excel Su Do Ku tool I was working on. You know, sometimes it happens that you enter a number where it is not supposed to be. It either exist in the row, or in the column, or somewhere in the 9 field cell.
Now, if you do so, the problematic fields get imediately highlighted in yellow.

Check the two images below...

Hemorrhoids Update

After a 10 day struggle I'm starting to feel much better. Unfortunately things are still not back to normal and I have to follow a strict regime.
It sucks big time, but I'm a tough guy. As I love to say, things could be much worse!

The Beauty of the Hemorrhoids...

You know, I've been in hell for the last couple of days. I've been having hemorrhoids occasionally during the last couple of years, but this Friday, man oh man...
It started like a normal day, but after going to the toilette, I got equipped with a nut size, capital H that hurts like hell!
I guess, this is the price I'm paying for working 12 hours a day in front of the PC...
I called my GP and he gave me some directions. You know that little bullet-size medications that you stick into your ass when things like that happen? Damn, I lost their count. It's funny how easy they slide in...
Hemorrhoids treatment & relief

Free Sudoku Helper. Solve those little puzzles with ease!

I’ve been playing with this sudoku thing for a while and created a small Excel file in order to help me solve such puzzles. I’ve called it "Sudoku Helper".
It won’t solve the sudoku number games automatically, but will definitely help you. So, download the Excel file from here and enjoy.

Now, a few words how to use this tool:

Christopher Walken is running for President of the USA?

Chris Walken for president in the 2008 elections, well, that's one hell of a news!
Unfortunately, it's a hoax! At first I decided that the site http://www.walken2008.com is genuine. It has appeared in mid August and looked quite credible, but at the end it turned out that it's just a joke from some internet dudes. Anyway, the page is at 31,274 place according to the Alexa ranking, and it stays like that for a couple of months. I guess, Mr. Walken shoul think about getting involved in the campaign :)))
Who knows, he might win...

I've got a new toolbar for my sites!

At last, I've made it. I've been thinking for a very long time to make an Internet Explorer toolbar for my sites and now it has already come true.
I've called it the "Fortune Telling Toolbar" because it's tied to my new website GenieSays.com.

As I told you in a previous post, this is a fun site that gives answers to simple "yes/no" questions. Now, you can access the Genie directly through the IE Toolbar. Install it and when you want an answer to a question, just hit the logo on the left of the toolbar that says "Ask The Genie!"

Of course, I've added links to another sites that I've made or I find cool. You also get a web radio with lots of stations and of course - web search.

You can see how it looks here

or

Try Our Toolbar

Who would imagine that I'm a fire arm junky...

Today I went to a local hunting and fishing expo, exhibition or whatever... All the guys who are selling all kind of fire arms, fishing rods, gas guns etc. were showhing their stuff. Man, I thought I'm a pacifist but I soon found myself shootin raindeers with a lazer gun at an electronic simulation. Actually, I was quite good :)

I ended buying myself a cheap Chinese air rifle that is now resting next to me. Damn, men, including myself, are such kids!!!

I'm back after a holiday :)

I haven't been posting for a while. Obviously, I'm not much of a writer with itching fingers.
Anyway, I have to share my experience from the last week. It's not something special, but was quite different from my lifestyle lately. I went to our cottage in the mountains togethere with my brother and my father. I know that I haven't mentioned where I live and it is going to remain like that. Of course, you can find it if you know how to dig deeper, but it's your own business.
It's amazing how easy it is to escape from the city and how rare actually we do it. One week without internet or even TV. My only connection to the outer world was a tiny Panasonic radio. Did I feel good... I really don't know. I guess I'm plagued by the convenience of the modern life, but it's sure that it was refreshing. The mountains have always been special for me and being surrounded by hills gives me a great sence of security.

I've created a new site and I'm proud of it :)

It's an idea that was hounting me for a very long time. The site is called GenieSays and acts as a decision maker, decision helper and so on. Basically, you think of a question that can be answered with YES or NO, hit the button and get an answer. Chek it at GenieSays.com

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - My Review

I've been waiting for this film for so long that I saw it on the very day of the premier. Well, I'm not that crazy to go to the 00:01 show :) but waited for the afternoon on May 19th.
Believe me, I was quite mixed when I left the cinema. The film could not spark an emotion in my soul. I really don't know why. It seemed to me like a documentary or something similar to that. Narration, events, good visuals but something was missing. I do not regret that I saw it, of course. It was part of the story that was needed to be told, but the spirit was somewhere else. Anakin Skywalker seemed to me too much like a spoiled kid and the process of turning him into Darth Vader was somewhat very fast. It seemed that thay had his suit already prepared, waiting for Anakin to burn in the lava. that seemed very strange to me.

Firmware for the Mustek V 56LM 2E DVD player

Finally I managed to find a new firmware for my DVD player. It's not a very popular brand - Mustek V 56LM 2E. The main feature is that it plays .avi files that can be DivX or Xvid encoded. The only problem was that the avi subtitles were hell bad!!! Very hard to see and I felt my eyes very bad after watching a whole movie with subtitles. Hail to that guy who made the new firmware. Actually, he has fixed only the cyrillic subtitles, but I needed exactly those ones.

Firmware for the Mustek V 56LM 2E DVD player download link

Enjoy!
