The Blog Hosting Service is Ready!!! There is lot`s of stuff going on around. As you can notice, i`ve abandoned this place for a while and there was a reason for that. I managed to seriously f*** an exam at my university and I had to take some serious care about it. I truly hate leaving unfinished things behind. As promised, I`m turning this site into a blog hosting service. The script is installed and actually, you can view it and sign up here. It took me some time to find a suitable script to fulfill the task. The one that I`m using seems to be ok. The credit goes to www.drupal.org. I`m not sure that I`ll manage to create custom design for the web site. The damn templates are so complicated that I doubt it`s worth it. The current layouts are quite good. Actually, it's the third time around in the matter of an hour and a half. Feels, how to say it, stupid... Oh, she just climaxed!!! Or faked... I've found a script :-) As I told you in the previous post, I'm planning to turn this site into a free blog service. Well, I've found a script that does some of the things that I want. Now I'm talking to the support in order to have some things fixed. If it is ok, I might start trying to implement it here. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, I'm trying to get used to wearing contact lenses again. I did wear such until seven months ago when I got some nasty infection and went back to spectacles. Now I'm going back to the contacts. I hate the glasses and the way they make me look. Well, the adaptation process has to be slow and careful in order to be smooth. Now I'm in the middle. Moving to a new computer is so boring! It`s amazing how much junk a man can gather on a computer. I`m the man :) Now I have to pack it and move it to the new machine. The stupid thing is that there are at least ten other things I`d like to do, including the transformation of this site into a member based service. Well, it`ll wait a little untill I transfer all the info and needed software. It`ll take some time. In the mean time, I managed to meet a friend of mine I haven`t seen for about 2 years. She`s been through a lot of trouble during this time. Her parents and her sister got into a terrible car crash. They got hit by a drunk idiot who was driving on the opposite side of the road. Fortunately there weren`t fatalities and all the three managed to recover as much as it is possible. I really hope that all the bad things are behind her!!! Well, I've got an idea... Today I decided that probably I'll try and turn this site into a whole service. It's good that I can share thoughts, but it'll be better if I let you share your thoughts too. I just have to find the right script for this. Keep your fingers crossed. I'm searching right now. In the mean time, I wrote my first java program - stupid but mine. My secret hope is that I'll manage to impress my teacher and get some good grade at that future exam. Damn, I sound as a high-school teenager... Again I feel like an idiot! Four hours after I turned on my brand new Pentium 4 computer and one hour after finishing my bragging in the last topic, the mainboard of the computer got fryed and the whole machine ceased work. Actually, I understood that after I took the comp to the warranty repair service. Well, they were kind enough to change the power unit and the MB on the same day, so 24 hours after the event the comp is again here and working. The problem is that I`m feeling a little bit mixed up. My last 200 MHz comp worked for 5+ years without a single complaint while this one caused a problem after some 4 hours of operation... I really hope that this is just an unfortunate coincidence that won`t happen again! |
